EA said previously that it was hoping to launch Battlefront close to Episode VII, no doubt in part to benefit from the buzz.ĮA signed a deal with Disney last year to create new "core" Star Wars games. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII, which hits theaters on December 18, 2015.

We haven't seen much of the game so far (outside of some teasers), but EA plans to show more of the first-person shooter in spring 2015.
